This book is stronger than tranquilizers if you have trouble sleeping! But that aside, it plows right into discussion without establishing a strong base for new concepts. What descriptions are given feel too abstract to be useful (based on having a teacher later explain and clarify). Many vocabulary terms aren't defined, but rather used in an example. If you don't know the word's meaning to start with, the example is useless. Thank goodness for the glossary, but why should the reader have to spend the entire time flipping back and forth? I don't have any experience with another text, but I feel that this isn't a great book for someone just getting seriously into research. As a graduate student with a strong nursing background, I still found this book very hard to wade through.
