If you're cutting through clothing only, these might be okay, but they're very cheaply made. Most EMT shears let you "cut through a penny!", but I couldn't even cut through rope with these.

the shears broke the first time i had to use them. which wasnt good since i work in an ER. and was trying to cut clothes off of a patient. moral of the day. if you are going to use ems shears for emergancy situations. spend the extra money and get good ones.
worst pair of trauma scissors

I took the trauma scissors to work and it wouldn't cut gauze! I even had trouble cutting thin plastic with it! I would not recommend this product to anyone!
Fine trauma shears, but where's the cylinder turner?

I have had no problems with these shears, they cut through cloth well. However, in the description it says they have a "special edge that has custom cylinder turner built into it". Maybe I misunderstood this description, but I thought that it meant it would allow me to open oxygen cylinders which would be really convenient. When I received these shears they had no such "special edge". The shears are fine, but they aren't special.

I lost mine and needed to replace them-- I would recommend them to anyone in Medical field. I am a medical student and used them for almost every rotation! Especially trauma!
